Coastline of Our Dreams

June 2, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

$5 – $15

Annapolis Voices Choral Society presents “Coastline of Our Dreams” – a wide variety of music featuring great contemporary Canadian composers, as well as relevant subject matter for our time. Mia Makoroff, Ian Tamblyn, and Connie Kaldor help us create pictures of the beauty of nature, of our indigenous community, and of our Irish descendants. The Quebec-French sense of humour, as reflected in Donald Patriquin’s “Ah! si mon moine voulait danser”, invites us to laugh at ourselves; John Rutter’s anthem “Look at the World” asks us to look around, to see the joys and wonders of the seasons, where we live.
The young choristers of Treble Makers sing a Mozart selection as well as a choral speech composition; the older girls sing a song from “The Secret Garden”.
Nancy Telfer, Canadian composer and music educator, writes: “Good music delights the ears, captures the imagination of the mind and feeds the soul.”
We invite you to join us for an evening of “good music”.
