Musique Royale: John Laing, organist

Musique Royale presents an organ concert by one of the significant contributors for liturgical music in Canada, John Laing. Laing will perform works by Bach and Mendelssohn and original compositions including one featuring the shimmering vocals of soprano Judith Burdett. Composer, Organist and Director, Laing established the John Laing Singers, an excellent choir which he led from 1982 til retirement in 2011. Read more about Laing at musiqueroyale.com

Since 1985 Musique Royale presents a province-wide Summer Festival, touring incredible musicians to some of the provinces most far off and precious venues. In store for 2019 is emerging artists Aureas Voces presenting romantic early music, Bach and Vivaldi Sonatas with violinist Mark Fewer and harpsichordist Hank Knox, The Best of Boxwood’s annual salute to the Canadian Maritimes music, heartfelt And So It Goes with baritone Brett Polegato, flashy artistry on the violin and keys with Two David’s, and Pres du Soleil with Montreal’s Ensemble Caprice and Constantinople.
