St. George’s Choir – Te Deum

Join the Saint George’s Parish Choir this Sunday, June 19th at 7pm for a presentation of G. F. Handel’s ‘Utrecht’ Te Deum. This festive work was composed by Handel in celebration of the Peace Treaty of Utrecht, marking the end of the War of Spanish Succession in 1713. It was first performed in St Paul’s Cathedral in London in July of 1713. Richly scored for soloists, choir, strings, trumpets, oboes, flauto traverso, bassoon and continuo, the Utrecht Te Deum will be a feast for the senses.
Admission will be a suggested donation of $20. Proceeds will be directed to the Friends of Saint George’s Society, toward the Music Programme.
