The Acadia University Singers present “O Magnum Mysterium” – a concert dedicated to the achievement, strength, perseverance, and vision of women throughout time. Featuring diverse works by composers including Marie-Claire Saindon, Elaine Hagenberg, B.E. Boykin, Alyssia Lee, Kyle Pederson, and more, this program features choral narratives of notable historical women as well as words of inspiration celebrating the limitless potential that lies within us all.
The Acadia University Singers are a treble voice chamber choir, comprised of sopranos and altos who are both students and recent graduates of the Acadia School of Music.
This concert begins at 7:30pm in Denton Hall Auditorium. Admission is by freewill donation at the door.
Donations received at this concert will support the Singing IN Flanders Fields project; from April 24 to 3 May, 2024, members of the Acadia University Singers will go on a concert tour to the WWI battlefields of France and Belgium, ending in Ypres, Belgium, to present a Remembrance-themed concert in site where Lt. Col. John McCrae composed his famous poem, “In Flanders Fields” on its anniversary.
