If Music Be the Food of Love:
Songs to Awaken the Heart
Seton Conservatory Choir under the direction of Garth MacPhee with collaborative accompanist and guest soloist Dean Bradshaw, is thrilled to present its first in-person concert in over two years! This event will take place Sunday, May 15, at 7:00 pm in the Lillian Piercey Hall of the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts located on 6199 Chebucto Road.
Among the performed works will be the lively and exciting “Songs and Sonnets”, inspired by the poetry of William Shakespeare, written by famed jazz pianist and composer, George Shearing. Also on the program is the sensitive and beautiful “Five Hebrew Love Songs”, composed by Eric Whitacre, featuring the violin artistry and versatility of Debbie Miles.
Dean Bradshaw will also play a set of selected works by Brahms and Liszt.
Tickets are priced at $20 and will be available through choir members and also at the door. There is a special student price of $10 for all MCPA members.
In the interest of public safety, masks are required for this event.
