St. Matthew’s Steeple Fundraiser Cabaret

Freewill Offering/DonationWe learned that, one stormy Tuesday night in March, winds toppled St. Matthew’s steeple on Barrington Street, Halifax. It wasn’t the main steeple, but two spires eventually came down, causing substantial damage to the property, railings and wall. Fortunately nobody was injured, but a busy part of Barrington Street was closed to pedestrians and vehicular traffic for two days. Repairs are costly, so Terry Hurrell is gathering guest singers and instrumentalists to prepare a cabaret concert for fundraising. There is no ticket charge. Just show up and find a seat. A freewill offering and donations will be received to help this fund – the deductible on the insurance alone is $ 5,000. Your support is greatly appreciated. Phone 902-457-0920
