In June, The Halifax Camerata Singers will be presenting The Wind’s True Song, a concert showcasing the breadth of Camerata’s expressive capabilities, from Monteverdi and Brahms to Sherryl Sewepagaham and Stephen Sondheim. There will be two performances –
Saturday, 15 June, 7:30 pm – First Baptist Church, Oxford Street, Halifax;
Sunday, 16 June, 3 pm – Chester Playhouse, Chester.
Featuring Paul John Rudoi’s song cycle The Wind’s True Song as well as works for clarinet and choir by Canadian composers Tim Corlis and our 2023-2024 Composer-in-Residence Benjamin Sigerson, this concert weaves together themesof courage, invitation, and acceptance.
