Felix Mendelssohn’s famous Octet turns 200 this year. We celebrate with an all-star performance. And then, The Elora Singers with conductor Mark Vuorinen, and bass clarinettist Jeff Reilly bring us the Nova Scotia premiere of Peter-Anthony Togni’s stunning new concerto for bass clarinet and choir, setting a profound and beautiful text by Mi’kmaw poet Mary Louise Martin.
