Manitoba Choral Association: Register for the MCA Virtual Choir today!
Calling all Canadian singers—we want you to join the MCA Virtual Choir! Manitoba Choral Association invites singers ages 10 and up from across the country to come together virtually for a fun and unique experience. This year Dr. Jamie Hillman (University of Toronto) will conduct the piece Wide Open Spaces by Canadian composer Sarah Quartel. All voices are welcome; no previous virtual choir experience necessary.
The cost for adults to participate is $30, and middle and senior years students and university students receive a $10 discount off the regular adult price. Groups of 10 or more from the same choir or school are eligible for further discounts. Contact MCA for more details on group discounts.
The registration fee includes:
- PDF copy of the score
- Access to learning tracks & rehearsal notes
- Attendance at two live online weekend rehearsals
- Contact with the conductor and video technician for questions
- Instructions and how-to videos for recording
- Your recording included in the final video!
Once MCA receives all individual recordings, we will get to work mixing the parts, and release the full video on Music Monday, May 2, as our choral contribution to the day!
