Attention NSCF Members! New Extended Benefits and Update to Fee Structure – Effective Sept 1/25
Dear NSCF Community:
Thank you for your continued support in our organization. We hope that you feel a sense of belonging and connection within this community, and are continuing to grow in your skills, knowledge and love of singing with others.
Being a member of the NSCF is a participation in collective action. It is a statement of support for the larger good of our community. Members directly invest in our efforts to provide enriching programs and services for singers across this province and to celebrate and advocate for the art of collective singing in all its forms.
We are writing today to communicate upcoming changes to our membership benefits and fee structure that were recently approved at our Annual General Meeting. We are bringing new benefits and expanded services to YOU!

MEMBERSHIP CHANGES – EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, 2025
NEW BENEFITS!
In addition to all current benefits, (you can review here), we have added the following:
- More equitable memberships:
- Newly established choirs will be gifted a free membership for their first year
- Discounted rates for multiple choir organizations
- Special low rate for public school programs
- Access to CFNS Group Health Insurance Plan
- Groups Members Eligible for CFNS Membership in order to access subscription options from medical/dental to life/critical illness insurance etc.
- Groups Members Eligible for CFNS Membership in order to access subscription options from medical/dental to life/critical illness insurance etc.
- NSCF Partnership Program – Charitable Donations and Tax Receipts for Choirs
- We will work towards becoming an intermediary, by which NSCF will extend our reach and mandate through community partners.
- NSCF will soon accept charitable tax donations and issue tax receipts for non-profit choirs without them having to apply for charitable status, allowing them to increase their revenue stream.
- Membership Program Discounts
- Group Members:
- Artistic Leaders of Groups will automatically get the same discount as Individual Members for workshops, so they don’t have to purchase individual membership as well (although we will continue to encourage this practice as a show of support)
- Singers in Adult Groups – discount will be determined on a case by case basis depending on the nature of the workshop.
- Singers in Student Groups will always have access to program discounts.
- Individual Members: Discounts for workshops and programs.

Member rates have not been raised since the 1990s.The membership has approved a new fee structure which will support the increased administrative burden being taken on to increase services, make membership more accessible, and grow the number of singers and organizations supported.
