Formed in 1963 as the St. Catharines Symphony Chorus, Chorus Niagara has grown from a modest 24 members to 100 choristers (prepandemic). As one of Canada’s premier auditioned symphonic choirs, Chorus Niagara draws its membership from throughout the Niagara peninsula and from as far away as Hamilton and Buffalo NY. Chorus Niagara seeks applicants for the position of Managing Director (MD). The primary responsibility of the MD is to manage the operations and financial resources of the organization so as to achieve Chorus Niagara’s vision and mission. The MD reports to the Board and is responsible for supporting the artistic vision of the Artistic Director and implementing policies set by the board.

Halifax Gay Men’s Chorus – Open Rehearsal – Come and Join us!

The Halifax Camerata Singers: Opportunity for Singers!

The Halifax Camerata Singers have space for an Alto (A1) and a Soprano (S2) beginning in September for the coming 2021-22 35th anniversary season. Strong sight-reading ability is a definite asset and good musical skills are a must. Rehearsals are Tuesdays 7-9:30 pm at St. Andrew’s United Church, Halifax, and the choir has a full and exciting season of performances and recordings planned. The choir has its own COVID-19 protocol and follows all NS Public Health guidelines.

THEY WILL SING!  Annapolis Valley Honour Choir welcoming students for a return to safe in-person singing! 

“We Will Sing” has been the motto for the Annapolis Valley Honour Choir all year. Persevering all through the pandemic, they have continued to offer meaningful artistic programming for their students. Now planning for a full return to in-person singing in the fall, the AVHC is excited to welcome singers for the next season! 



Students in Grades 3-12 during the 2021-22 school year are encouraged to join. Musical Meet & Greets for all three choirs will be taking place the first two weeks of June.  (Online and in-person options)

The AVHC is a nationally recognized choral organization known for its excellence in education and capacity for community building. Young singers work with professionally trained faculty in fun, engaging rehearsals and workshops, and benefit from a complete music literacy program, chorister apprenticeship program, performances and engagements, community outreach, and cultural exchange opportunities.  Accessible and inclusive, singers are welcomed into a supportive, accepting culture rooted in teamwork and a common vision. They are provided a safe space to be themselves, build their confidence and find their unique voices!
