Register Today for Choral Companion!

We are thrilled to announce a new program by the Nova Scotia Choral Federation- Choral Companion! As it appears we will not be able to host Sing Summer camps again this year, the NSCF has developed this new program to help bridge the gap!

Taking place at St. Andrew’s United Church, Choral Companion is a week of vocal and choral programming for choristers of all ages! Led by local voice teachers, Jason Davis & Lucy Hayes Davis, and choral conductor, Dr. Frances Farrell, Choral Companion will be a wonderful opportunity to freshen up your vocal skills before the choirs start again in the fall.

Choral Companion will run from Monday, August 9th – Friday, August 13th. This pilot project will consist of three streams that run concurrently: a stream for junior youth aged 9 – 13, another for senior youth aged 13 – 18, and a final stream for adults aged 18+. All registrants will participate in ensemble rehearsals, receive one-on-one vocal instruction with a local voice teacher, and attend workshops that are tailored to the needs of each stream.

COVID-19 protocols will be followed throughout the program. This means that choristers will be socially distanced and masked during singing-based activities. Further, time will be allocated to allow for ventilation as necessary. The NSCF will be following Public Health Guidelines and making updates to our plan as required.

Deadline to register: Sunday, July 18th
