The NSCF was just approved for Canada Summer Jobs Funding! We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team for an 8-week, full time (35h/wk) term position as Program and Services Assistant. (July 7 – August 29) Work will take place both at the NSCF office in Halifax, and on site at our Sing Summer Camp in Berwick (Between August 7-23 – Room & Board provided when on site). The candidate will work in collaboration with team members to assist with office administration and the music lending library, as well as supporting the planning and implementation of NSCF programs, events and services. This position requires an individual who can work independently, with strong initiative, communication and organizational skills, and experience with Google Suite and social media. Previous experience with project management, data entry, social media communications and/or training or equivalent experience in marketing and graphic design would be strong assets.

The 2026 program will take place in British Columbia and will culminate with a tour of the province, ending with the NYCC concert presented during the Podium Conference and Festival in Victoria (May 14-17, 2026). Due to the announcement of our current Choir Director’s retirement at the end of our Spring 2025 season, the East Hants Community Chorale (EHCC) is seeking a new Choir Director, beginning in September 2025. EHCC is a welcoming, non-auditioned SAB/SATB choir of 40+ members, who meet from mid-September to mid-May. The choir performs 2 concerts per year, usually in early December and May. We are looking for a Choir Director with experience working with adult SATB and has a sense of humour to make weekly rehearsals fun and engaging! The Chebucto Community Singers is seeking a new Choir Director, beginning Nov 2024. Our
current beloved Director, Louise Grinstead, will begin the season, but plans to retire after our
seasonal concerts in December 2024. A SATB choir of 50+ members, CCS has enjoyed singing
together for 50 years, with a varied repertoire of folk, pop, gospel, show tunes and classical
music. The choir meets in the West End of Halifax on Tuesday evenings, usually from mid-
September to mid-May. The choir normally performs 3-4 concerts per year.
